Invites done, wedding coming up!

I'm not going to write long about the wedding here.. the thing is, we're getting married and that's it (Elisa can write more about the thing itself) :) Now, as the decision came up, I almost immediately decided also to design my own invites. Mostly because I thought they'd be more interesting and personal like that, but also just because that way I'd feel more like actually doing something for my own wedding and not just, you know, be there. Actually it turned out also to be cheaper in the end, which is always nice.

The idea was to keep it simple and "effective". The colour scheme is basically the same as on this blog, so brownish greenish and some cream. On the cover I wanted to somehow express the idea of us two, not uniting as we've already lived together for three years, but more like getting even more involved in this relationship. I came up with a simple logo of O and E woven together, and of different colours.

Well, I'll try and maybe take some nice photos of them. Apart from the invitations there's a small little site for the invited but I don't think I'll link it here. With our hugely enormous reader base I'll just get unnecessarily much spam ;)

Unbelievable! Finalmente é estate. Da quando vivo in Finlandia il sole é diventato un elemento raro e prezioso della mia vita. I lunghi mesi invernali trascorrono nell'attesa di vedere qualche raggio di sole e i mesi primaverili iniziano a dare qualche speranza all'attesa. Ogni tanto il sole appare, si affaccia, ti addolcisce la giornata, ma purtroppo la temperatura non ti permette di stare fuori a lungo a goderti i suoi raggi. Oggi invece é finalmente estate, siamo stati in spiaggia a goderci il sole....e anche il vento.

Da tutta bianca ricoperta di neve, con l'arrivo del sole, la Finlandia si trasforma in un paesaggio impressionista con colori verdi e con sfumature azzurre di laghi e mari.

A volte andando in bicicletta, camminando, facendo un pic-nic mi sembra di vivere dentro a un quadro, i paesaggi sono stupendi. Invece in inverno mi sembra di vivere in un presepio. Meglio la versione estiva quindi ;-)
